Siv draws inspiration from the work women before her have done to preserve and pass on the heritage of their ancestors. On her journey through yarn and colors, she has developed knitted garments that incorporate details from old Sami patterns. And she has been inspired by the nature and culture she grew up in to create new knitting designs. The journey goes through the polar night and northern lights, cloudberry bogs and summer plains, to Karesuando, Máze, Varanger, Jukkasjärvi, Billefjord and Kautokeino.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe result is a feast of colors and patterns that are just as suitable for the plains as for the city.
