Finnmark is named after the place where my roots are. This was the very first sweater design I created, and it carries the colors of the landscape I know so well.

The grey sea, the crowberry-covered heaths and the open plateaus inspired both the colors and the pattern of the sweater.

Finished bust circumference: 89 (98) 107 (116) 124 (133) 142 cm

Body length: 36 (38) 40 (41) 42 (43) 44 cm – or desired length

Sleeve length: 44 (45) 46 (47) 48 (49) 50 cm – or desired length

Upper arm circumference: 36 (36) 40 (40) 40 (44) 44 cm

Yarn: Léttlopi by Ístex, 50 g per ball

Yarn alternative: Varde Pelsullgarn by Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, or another yarn that gives the stated gauge.

Gauge: 18 stitches = 10 cm

Suggested needles:
3.5 mm circular needles, 40, 60, 80 and 100 cm
4.5 mm circular needles, 40, 60, 80 and 100 cm
Optional 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm double-pointed needles for the sleeves

Construction: Finnmark is worked from the bottom up.
