The Nanna sweater features a pattern inspired by a pair of traditional mittens from Porsanger, knitted by Nanna Guttorm in the 1960s.

Nanna Guttorm was Kven, born and raised in Ildskog in Porsanger. She was a skilled craftswoman in sewing, weaving and knitting, and many people in Porsanger wore traditional Sámi garments made by her.

Source of the pattern motif: Porsangervotten, published by Porsanger Husflidslag, May 2000.
