Siv Romsdal continues her journey in search of Sámi patterns and stories in the north. This is her second knitting book inspired by the rich history of the Sámi people. This time, it features more small knits and several simpler garments, but still with beautiful colors and patterns.
Here you will find patterns for sweaters, mittens, socks, scarves, ponchos, headbands, and decorative pillows. Some of the sweaters also have children's patterns with matching hats.
The book is packed with inspiring images and beautiful nature, interspersed with stories from Sápmi – about the Sámi polar explorers, and about traditions related to fishing, the weather, superstitions, and women's communities.
