I grew up on the coast, in the small fishing village of Gjesvær, at the northern edge of the North Cape plateau. There, the sea and fishing have always been closely woven into life on land, and both sides of my family have made their living from fishing for many generations.

The coast is therefore more than a landscape to me – it is part of my story.

Riddu means coast in Northern Sámi. The pattern in this sweater is inspired by life along the coast and by the sea that has connected people and generations.
