Sirges Báidi 2-12 years is the children's version of the beautiful Sirges sweater from my book Sápmi strikk 2.
To highlight as much of the beautiful pattern as possible in the children's version, I chose to knit the sweater in a thinner yarn than the adult version in the book. The choice fell on Sunday from Sandnes Garn, a soft and itch-free yarn that is perfect against delicate children's skin.
Sizes: 2 (3–4) 5–6 (7–8) 9–10 (11–12) years
The size corresponds approximately to the child's height in cm:
92 – 98/104 – 110/116 – 122/128 – 134/140 – 146/152
Sweater circumference: 63 (67) 70 (73) 77 (80) cm
Total length (not including neck ribbing): 35 (40) 44 (46) 50 (55) cm
Gauge: 28 stitches = 10 cm on 3 mm needles
